We provide complete interior painting services tailored to your specific needs, following the same detailed specifications on every job, every time.
Cover all floors, countertops, appliances, furniture, etc. prior to painting.
Tape all glass if necessary with blue tape plastic and/or paper to protect glass from sandpaper, easy removal even after extended periods of exposure to sunlight, and for clean, sharp edges after painting.
We will move and cover large furniture and replace after painting. We do ask for table tops to be cleared and any loose items boxed up and removed from the painting area.
We remove outlet covers and switch plate covers. We tape and replace after painting.
Tape all trim edges before painting walls. Covering baseboards prior to painting.
Do all necessary and agreed upon wall and trim repair. Standard prep is to caulk corners and fill in pin holes/nail holes. If you would like to keep your nail holes please let us know!
We look for all cracks, water damage and defects, repair, and do any retexturing as needed. (These will be listed as individual charges.)
We prime all bare drywall or repairs, as well as any other necessary areas with the appropriate primers prior to painting.
Ceilings are recommended painted in a flat paint in color chosen. This is to minimize light reflection or sheen, which on ceilings highlights any drywall imperfections, and is distracting. Although high moisture areas like bathrooms may benefit from a glossy paint on the ceiling.
Walls are recommended painted in a top line interior wall paint in color and sheen specified. There are many types of wall paints available at a wide variety of prices.
Interior Painting — Woodwork & Enamel Specifications
We sand, clean, prime bare wood and paint all enamel specified on your proposal. Sanding is necessary to ensure good adhesion between coats.
We check for all cracks in woodwork, doors, windows, and wall corners, etc., and caulk with a premium 60 year caulk.
We paint enamel with a brush, roll and airless sprayer. It’s best to spray in an empty home.
Our standard is two coats unless otherwise specified.
Please Note
The number of coats of paint on drywall or enamel work is usually two finish coats after preparation, whether applied by roller, brush or sprayer. Application methods and dry times between coats are different depending on color, sheen, temperature/humidity as well as the product used.
After all work is done, we clean it all up, remove all the tape, paper and plastic. We replace all the hardware and outlet covers, put all the furniture back and remove all unnecessary paint cans (we will leave touch up paint for all areas and colors on site).
Common questions answered
Do I need to move out during interior painting?
No. We cover floors, countertops, appliances and furniture, and move and re-place large pieces ourselves. We just ask that table tops be cleared and loose items boxed up and removed from the painting area.
How many coats of paint do you apply?
Our standard is two finish coats after preparation on both walls and enamel woodwork, whether applied by roller, brush, or sprayer, unless otherwise specified.
Can I keep my nail holes instead of having them filled?
Yes — our standard prep is to caulk corners and fill pin holes and nail holes, but if you’d like to keep specific nail holes for hanging items later, just let us know before we begin.
What happens to outlet and switch plate covers?
We remove all outlet covers and switch plate covers before painting, tape around the openings, and replace every cover once painting is complete.
Do you clean up after the job is finished?
Yes. We remove all tape, paper, and plastic, replace hardware and outlet covers, put furniture back in place, and remove unnecessary paint cans — leaving touch-up paint for every area and color on site.
